Riviera Christian Centre, Bairnsdale is a vibrant life giving church situated in the centre of East Gippsland. Bairnsdale is a thriving town, which is continuously growing as more and more people move from the city to enjoy a refreshing lifestyle in regional Victoria.

Riviera Christian Centre is a place of hope and abundant life through Jesus Christ to the people of our town and to those living in the Riviera region. Our church is filled with people of all ages from many different backgrounds, it is a place where families and children can come and feel at home and cared for. If you are new to the area or are just visiting on holiday, you are most welcome to come to any of our services and join us in worshiping God together.

Riviera Christian Centre on the Bairnsdale-Dargo Rd was formally opened on Saturday 6 February 2010. The centre is not only for the church, but has been built to provide modern facitities to the community for conventions, weddings, conferences and other community events.

The complex has been built to the highest standard and has children's facilities, auditorium seating for 500, offices, other meeting rooms of various sizes, a foyer and kitchen that is ideal for catering functions. Not only does it have the rooms, it also has the technology for multimedia presentations, concerts, dramas, films, children's events and school events.

The centre will be available for hire to the community, but it also will be running programs for children, youth, families and the elderly, a leadership/Bible college and provide additional resources to the Bairnsdale Christian Community School. In addition, it provide offices for Riviera Care, Parachute 4 Poverty, World Changers Children Outreach and Carols By The River. Details of these programs are available from the office or read about them on the website.

The opening will be a great opportunity for you to see a contemporary church building and experience a contemporary church service, so all are welcome.

A Brief History of Riviera Christian Centre

The first service of Riviera Christian Centre was held on Sunday, June 20th 1982. This followed a significant move of God through Gippsland. There was a longing in spiritually hungry people for the tangible presence of God in worship. An expectation that God would move in love, grace, conviction, and healing, and the urgency to hear the prophetic voice of God both within the church and into our Community, led to the establishment of this Pentecostal, bible-based church which continues to grow. Since its beginning the essence of the church remains the same. Known for its hospitality, generosity and excellence throughout the Riviera region, Riviera Christian Centre will continue its commitment and love of our Saviour,The Lord Jesus Christ
